Now comes Bipashas turn to go vocal in favour of Anna

Dusky diva Bipasha Basu has become the latest Bollywood figure to have jumped on the Anna Hazare bandwagon.
At a time when the entire country is rallying behind Hazare, supporting the 74-year-old Gandhian's fight for a strong Lokpal Bill, the femme fatale, not to be left behind to relish the patriotic fervour, has also lent her support to the anti-corruption crusader.

As Hazare's fast entered the eighth day, the leggy lass told mediapersons that she fully supports his fight for a strong anti-corruption ombudsman legislation.

"Our country should be free from the shackles of corruption, so I lend my support to the cause Anna Hazare is fighting for," said the bewitching beauty on the margins of a function here.

"Jan Lokpal Bill will surely make the difference in our society.

If it is introduced, we can curb corruption in a better manner.

"He (Anna) is one of the leaders whom we all can trust and follow.

He is a mass leader. We should all support him and the anti-corruption movements," said she.

So far, film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, A R Rahman, Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Kapur, Sushmita Sen, Celina Jaitly, Shreyas Talpade and Shahid Kapoor have thrown their weight behind Hazare's movement against corruption.

Some celebrities took to social networking sites to express their support, while others like Anupam Kher and Farah Khan flew down to the capital to participate in the protest.

"I'm also anti-drugs and not much of a drinker! Sounds boring but I get my highs from healthier alternatives; music, dance, and...more? What gets u high?" Sophie posted on her Twitter page on the ocassion of World No Tobacco Day, Tuesday.

When Minissha got lost on ship

Actress Minissha Lamba caused panic among the crew members of "Bheja Fry 2" when she went missing from the ship aboard which they were shooting.

The ship, on which the team was shooting, was so huge that Minissha got lost somewhere in the corridors, according to a source.

An hour after the movie's team couldn't locate her, the security was informed and Minissha was found in the far corner of a corridor, thanks to the CCTVs.

'Bheja Fry 2', which is a sequel to the 2007 comedy "Bheja Fry", also features Vinay Pathak, Kay Kay Menon, Suresh Menon and Amol Gupte. Produced by Mukul Deora and directed by Sagar Ballery, it will release July 15.

Bipasha Basu detained at Mumbai airport, pays tax

After Minissha Lamba, it was Bollywood actor Bipasa Basu who was detained at the Mumbai International Airport on Thursday for not declaring jewellery she was carrying.
She had arrived from London on a British Airways flight.

She had to pay Rs 10,000 as tax for the gold and other jewellery she was carrying and let off.

"Everything is okay. People are doing their job," said Bipasha, speaking to reporters later.

She said she was let off in 20 minutes after paying the tax.

She even praised the customs for doing a dynamic and credible job.

Actor Minissha Lamba was detained for several hours by custom officials at the same airport while she was returning from the Cannes festival for jewellery not declared.

Bipasha Basu let off after paying fine at airport

Bollywood Actress Bipasha Basu was asked to pay duty of Rs 10,000 at the Mumbai International Airport today for carrying certain goods for which she had not paid duties.
Ms Basu was returning from a shoot in London and was intercepted by Custom officials while passing through the green channel following a routine baggage check.

She was carrying goods like perfumes and sun glasses of over Rs 65,000 on which the duties were not paid. She was asked to pay the duty, which she complied. She was eventually asked to proceed after paying Rs.10,000 as unpaid duty.

In a statement, Ms Basu said that she went overboard with her shopping and had no clue if she had to pay any taxes.

Earlier this month, Bollywood actress Minissha Lamba was detained at the Mumbai airport for more that 16 hours for possession of undeclared Jewellery worth Rs 50 Lakh.

My sign language skill improved in Russia Bipasha Basu

It seems Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, who has wrapped up shooting for Abbas-Mustan's "Players" in Russia, faced a lot of language issues there. She says her sign language skills have improved after her stay in the country.
